US President Donald Trump announced that he has essentially finalized his position regarding the possible supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. He made this statement during a recent interview, emphasizing the need to first clarify the details of the use of such weapons. Trump noted that he intends to clarify the precise purposes for which the missiles will be used to avoid unnecessary escalation of the situation in the region.
The American leader declined to disclose the essence of the upcoming verdict, citing strategic considerations.
"I've sort of made a decision, so to speak. But first, I want to understand where they'll be deployed and how they'll be used. I'm not looking for escalation." Said Trump.
His remarks came amid ongoing discussions in Washington about supporting Kyiv, where the issue of long-range systems remains a key one. Vice President J.D. Vance previously confirmed that Trump has the final say, and that discussions are being conducted with U.S. interests in mind.
