"I brought nuclear warheads here": Lukashenko announced the presence of dozens of nuclear warheads in Belarus

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed that several dozen nuclear warheads have already been deployed on the territory of the republic. In his statement, he emphasized that these actions are part of a strategy to protect the country's sovereignty and a demonstration of readiness for an immediate response to possible aggression.

"I brought nuclear warheads here. Not a few dozen of them. Many people think it's a joke, but it's not. We did it quietly, and our opponents didn't even understand how it happened," — Lukashenko noted, adding that this became possible thanks to close cooperation with Russia.

The President stressed that Belarus views the use of nuclear weapons solely as a means of deterrence. However, if enemy troops cross the state border, Minsk is ready to use any available means of defense.

"I have warned everyone: if the border is violated, the response will be immediate. I will not think twice about using nuclear weapons or other weapons," - said Lukashenko.

According to the Belarusian leader, the issue of deployment and use of nuclear weapons was discussed during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. We are talking about tactical nuclear weapons, the power of which, as Lukashenko noted, may be several times greater than the capabilities of the Russian missile system "Oreshnik".

Lukashenko also recalled the serious responsibility associated with the use of nuclear weapons, stressing that since the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, no country has dared to use this type of weapon again. However, according to him, Belarus is ready to take decisive action in the event of a threat to its security.

At the same time, the West doubts that Belarus has nuclear weapons, especially in the quantities indicated by Lukashenko.
