Japan wants to buy a batch of American fighters F-35

Japan intends to acquire a large batch of American fighters F-35.

As reported by Japanese publications, the Ministry of Defense is seriously considering the purchase of US multi-purpose fighter-bombers F-35B. Nevertheless, a final decision on this issue has not yet been taken, since such an approach will violate the country's constitution.

Earlier, the South Korean authorities claimed that they intended to purchase a batch of F-35 fighters, which may be due to an attempt to exert pressure on the DPRK, thereby provoking a serious military conflict.

It should be clarified that the vast majority of Japanese citizens oppose the purchase of American fighters, and therefore, the announcement of the acquisition of a large batch of F-35 aircraft may prove premature.
