The Houthis attacked the Israeli ship with an attack drone.
The Pentagon said that the Israeli side's arguments that Iran was behind the attack on an Israeli commercial vessel off the coast of Oman were untrue. As follows from the data provided by the US defense department, a kamikaze drone was indeed used in the attack, however, the latter was launched by the Houthis from the territory of Yemen.
The US notes that the drone (originally it was alleged about two strikes - ed.) Is indeed of Iranian origin, however, this factor does not allow Iran to be accused of attacking a civilian ship.
Earlier, the Israeli side threatened Tehran with military action for attacking its ship, however, it is obvious that now the Israeli side has virtually no reason for this, especially since the United States declared that it does not support Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic.
Whether Yemeni rebels are behind other attacks on Israeli ships is unknown, however, noteworthy is the fact that several of them occurred after Israel began to conduct aggressive rhetoric against the Houthis.
