Yuri Borisov: Turkey is ready to buy another batch of Russian C-400

Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov announced the purchase by Turkey of another batch of Russian S-400.

Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov made a statement in which he emphasized that the likelihood that Turkey will acquire another batch of Russian S-400 Triumph air defense systems, within the existing option, is very high. The first two batches of Russian air and missile defense systems have already been delivered to Turkey - their full deployment is scheduled for the spring of 2020.

“Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said about the high probability of a new contract, RIA Novosti reports. According to him, Ankara has an option, which she has the right to exercise. In the 2017 year, Russia and Turkey signed a contract for the supply of four S-400 divisions, the deal amounted to about $ 2,5 billion. ”- reports "CGTN".

Specialists, in turn, note that at the moment there are no official statements from Ankara on this subject, and that is noteworthy, Turkey previously announced negotiations with the United States on the purchase of Patriot systems, however, at the same time, Erdogan began the invasion of Syria, which is why relations with Washington have seriously deteriorated.
