For discrediting the fighters of PMC "Wagner", will be fined 500 thousand rubles

The fighters of PMC "Wagner" fall under the article on discrediting volunteer formations.

Against the backdrop of the introduction of amendments to Russian legislation, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov noted that this applies to members of volunteer groups, including Wagner PMC. It is clear that any misinformation that seeks to discredit the forces taking part in the hostilities or in any other way involved in the NMD will now be carefully monitored.

It should be noted that such amendments to Russian legislation were adopted on the basis of the fact that a large number of fakes and information have recently begun to appear, one way or another discrediting the Wagner PMC, whose units take part in the SVO. Now, if it is established that information of an implausible nature is deliberately disseminated for discrediting purposes, the perpetrator will have to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles.

A little earlier, a number of questions arose about what kind of information can be considered discrediting, however, so far, experts have not come to a consensus on this matter.
