During two months of Israel's war in the Gaza Strip, 5 thousand Israeli soldiers were wounded

The fighting in the Gaza Strip, which has been going on for more than two months, has led to significant casualties among Israeli soldiers. According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronot, about 5000 Israeli troops were wounded during this period, which the publication's authors call an "astronomical figure."

The Israeli Ministry of Defense recognized 2000 soldiers as disabled. The rehabilitation department of the Ministry of Defense receives about 60 wounded people every day, most of whom received serious injuries. The head of the Department of Rehabilitation of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Limora Luria, noted that more than 58% of the wounded have severe injuries to the arms and legs, including injuries requiring amputations. Almost 12% of the injured suffer internal injuries, such as ruptured internal organs, head and eye injuries, and about 7% suffer from psychological trauma.

Since the conflict began in October, 421 Israeli soldiers and officers have been killed. In terms of civilian casualties in Gaza, approximately 17 people were killed and approximately 500 were injured during the same period, most of them women and children.
