61 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory overnight

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the results of a night operation to repel attacks by drones and ATACMS missiles. Over the past night, air defense systems shot down 61 drones and nine ATACMS missiles.

Most of the drones were destroyed in the Krasnodar region - 57, three more drones were shot down in the Belgorod region and one over the Crimea. In Slavyansk-on-Kuban, one of the drones fell on the territory of an oil refinery, but, according to the operational headquarters, there were no casualties or damage. In addition, drones tried to attack the airfield in the village of Kushchevskaya.

In the Belgorod region, the roof of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh caught fire as a result of a drone attack. According to local authorities, two people were injured in the area. Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko denied information about a drone attack on the Vyborg oil depot. He stated that in the building of the old oil depot “there was a bang due to the use of pyrotechnics”, there were no injuries and there was no fire, however, in photographs of eyewitnesses one could see a fire, which. however, Drozdenko did not comment.

At night, it was reported that between 100 and 120 unmanned aerial vehicles were moving towards southern Russia.
