The Russian Defense Ministry reported the successful work of air defense forces over the past 47 hours, as a result of which XNUMX Ukrainian drones attempting to attack Russian territory were destroyed. According to the department, a significant number of drones were eliminated in various regions of the country.
According to official information, 17 drones were intercepted over the territory of Krasnodar Krai. This region has become one of the key targets for Ukrainian UAVs in recent months, given its strategic importance and location. Also, 16 drones were destroyed over the waters of the Sea of Azov, which indicates attempts to attack infrastructure facilities in coastal areas.
In addition, the Russian air defense managed to destroy 12 drones over the territory of the Kursk region. This region, located on the border with Ukraine, has recently been in the sights of Ukrainian forces, which regularly try to use drones for reconnaissance and sabotage operations. Two more unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down in the skies over the Belgorod region, which underlines the ongoing attempts by the Ukrainian side to use drones to attack border areas.
The Russian Defense Ministry did not specify whether any infrastructure was damaged or whether civilians were harmed as a result of these attempted attacks.
