Over the past day, at least 18 Himars MLRS missiles have been fired at the LPR.

In total, three shellings were recorded, which became one of the strongest attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using the Himars MLRS on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic. According to the representative office of the LPR in the JCCC, the settlements of Novoaydar, Troitskoye and Svatovo were attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, resulting in serious damage, however, the true number of victims remains unknown.

“From the side of the armed formations of Ukraine, 3 shellings were recorded on the settlement. Troitskoye, Novoaidar and Svatovo using the American M142 HIMARS MLRS (18 M31 GMLRS missiles)", - reports the press service of the LPR representation in the JCCC.

Active shelling of the territory of the LPR may be associated with the upcoming referendum here, which Kyiv considers illegal, since they do not recognize the Luhansk People's Republic as an independent state, not to mention its joining Russia in the event of a positive outcome of the referendum.

Experts believe that in the coming days, the territory of the LPR and DPR will be subjected to the most extensive shelling in order to disrupt referendums in these regions, while, with the highest degree of probability, the same will happen on the territory of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
