An analysis of the wreckage of the Russian S-70 Okhotnik drone, shot down on October 5, 2024 near Konstantinovka, revealed the use of Western components in its design, despite the current international sanctions, the NZIV publication reports.
According to published data, microelectronics manufactured by such well-known Western companies as American Analog Devices, Texas Instruments and Xilinx-AMD, German Infineon Technologies and Swiss STMicroelectronics were found among the components of the "Hunter". These companies produce high-tech components, the use of which in modern drones expands their functionality.
The S-70 Okhotnik is one of the most advanced Russian-made unmanned aerial vehicles, designed to perform strike and reconnaissance missions. First unveiled at international exhibitions several years ago, the drone is considered a complement to the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter, with which it is capable of performing joint missions, significantly increasing the combat potential and coordination of the Russian air force.
As experts note, the S-70 Okhotnik embodies the concept of modern unmanned support for manned combat aircraft, which allows it not only to support strike operations, but also to effectively carry out reconnaissance.
Experts suggest that international sanctions have virtually no effect on Russia.
