The West is silent about the supply of anti-ship systems and missiles to Ukraine

Three NATO countries decided to keep silent about the supply of anti-ship missiles to Ukraine.

After Norway, Great Britain and the United States announced their firm intentions to supply Ukraine with sea- and land-based anti-ship cruise missiles, it became known that the issue of this suddenly began to be hushed up by all three countries. This raised a number of questions regarding the fact that NATO countries have either refused to provide such weapons, or have already supplied them, but are trying to hide this fact.

The United Kingdom and the United States of America had previously announced their firm intention to supply anti-ship weapons to Ukraine, while Norway announced that this issue has yet to be considered. We are probably talking about two types of anti-ship cruise missiles - "Harpoon" and "Penguin". If the Penguin cruise anti-ship missile is relatively short-range, and its range of destruction of surface targets is 40 kilometers, then in the case of the Harpoon anti-ship missiles, the situation is exactly the opposite - its effective range of destruction of targets is up to 280 kilometers. This poses a very serious threat.

To date, since the officially announced deliveries of these weapons, there is no more information on this subject, which caused concern.

“It’s good if NATO decided to abandon such a confrontation as providing Ukraine with anti-ship missiles, but if the supply of these weapons is hushed up on purpose and it has already been transferred, this is an extremely serious provocation”, - the expert marks.
