SVO News, December 14, 2025, Avia.pro. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking to journalists, as reported by leading Ukrainian media, stated that he has not yet received an official response from the United States to his latest proposals for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. This statement comes amid Kyiv's ongoing diplomatic efforts to find a compromise with its international partners. Zelenskyy noted that the lack of feedback from Washington creates additional complications in the negotiations, especially given the current escalation of hostilities and recent massive strikes on Ukrainian territory.
The head of state also emphasized that not all countries, including some NATO members, support Ukraine's immediate membership in the alliance, forcing the search for alternative security options. Zelenskyy also confirmed that there are currently no direct contacts with the Russian side, and all communications are conducted through the United States, which is slowing the process of reaching agreements.
Today, December 14, he has important meetings scheduled in Berlin, where he will meet with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and other European leaders. These talks are seen as a key step in strengthening support for Ukraine amid declining American aid and increasing pressure from Russia.
