Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his decision to open the export of certain types of weapons produced in the country in order to attract funds to cover the deficit in the defense budget.

"We've decided to open arms exports. These are powerful systems, proven in real-world conditions where all international institutions have failed. You don't have to start from scratch—we're ready to share what's already proven effective in real-world defense." Zelensky said.

According to him, the priority remains supplying the front and replenishing arsenals, while exports will be "managed" and targeted at allies. Specifically, this concerns naval drones and anti-tank systems, which are currently in surplus production. Within two weeks, the concept of three export platforms will be presented, including for the US and EU markets.
