SVO News, December 9, 2025, Avia.pro. Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged fundamental differences with Donald Trump regarding their approaches to ending the conflict in Ukraine. The Ukrainian president made this statement following meetings with European leaders in London.

Trump previously expressed disappointment that Zelenskyy had not reviewed Washington's proposed peace plan. According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine, together with the European Union, will finalize the American document and send it to the White House for further discussion. He noted that the United States has demonstrated a willingness to compromise, but that compromise is impossible on issues of territorial integrity.

For his part, US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker stated that Washington has mechanisms to pressure Kyiv to reach agreements. On Monday, Zelenskyy held talks in the British capital with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
