In an interview with the American television channel Fox News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated his readiness to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin to discuss ways to resolve the conflict, but emphasized that the negotiations must take place on neutral territory.
"All of us, all of our teams, proposed meeting in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, in neutral Europe, such as Austria, Switzerland... if you like, then, for example, in Kazakhstan," Zelensky said.
He recalled that he had previously declined Putin's invitation to hold a meeting in Moscow, insisting on a neutral location.
Last week, Zelenskyy also confirmed his readiness for dialogue in a trilateral or bilateral format with the participation of US President Donald Trump, but without preconditions and not on Russian territory.
