Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has made harsh statements against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, comparing them to Nazi Germany leader Adolf Hitler. Ortega called Netanyahu "the new Hitler" and Zelensky "a Nazi" and "Hitler's son," accusing the Ukrainian leader of trying to drag NATO into a conflict with Russia.
"Netanyahu is behaving like a new Hitler, pursuing an aggressive policy towards the Palestinian people and neighboring countries," — Ortega said during his speech.
He stressed that Israel's actions against the Palestinians remind him of the methods of Nazi Germany during World War II.
Ortega was particularly harsh in his remarks against Zelensky, calling him a "Nazi" who "tried to involve NATO in a war against Russia." According to the Nicaraguan president, the Ukrainian leader is acting according to a scenario reminiscent of Hitler's military aggression against the Soviet Union in 1941.
"Hitler was confident that he could defeat the USSR, but he underestimated the resilience and strength of the Soviet people," "Ortega said, drawing parallels between historical events and the modern situation.
