According to eyewitnesses and monitoring resources, the petrochemical plant Stavrolen LLC in Budyonnovsk, Stavropol Krai, may have been the target of a drone attack on the night of November 12. Local residents are posting photos and videos of a massive fire at the plant, which has previously been the target of similar attacks.
Regional Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed the incident, noting that the attack was repelled by air defense forces.
"A fire broke out in the Budyonnovsk industrial zone due to debris from downed drones. Fire crews and emergency services are working on the scene." - he wrote in the Telegram channel.
There were no casualties, residential buildings were not damaged, and emergency services are working at the scene.
In its morning update, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of four UAVs over Stavropol Krai between 11:00 PM on November 23 and 7:00 AM on November 12. Details about the extent of the damage have not been officially released.
