Residents of Crimea report explosions and falling drone debris.

On the evening of May 5, a massive attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was repelled in Crimea and Sevastopol. Air defense forces and mobile fire teams have already destroyed 12 UAVs in the Verkhnesadovye and Severnaya Storona areas. Air defense systems and mobile fire teams are responding to enemy drones.

Residents of the peninsula and the hero city report the sounds of air defense systems, explosions in the sky, and falling debris from downed drones.

The authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol are urging residents and visitors to remain calm, observe safety precautions, seek windowless accommodations, and, most importantly, refrain from posting footage of air defense systems, drones, and the impact sites of their debris on social media. There is currently no information on casualties or damage on the ground.
