Ukrainian armed forces launched drone strikes in southern Russia on the night of November 14, triggering a threat in several towns in the Krasnodar Krai. Residents of Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Anapa, and Tuapse reported hearing explosions, air raid sirens, and air defense systems.
In Novorossiysk, Mayor Andrei Kravchenko confirmed the attack was repelled:
"A siren is sounding in Novorossiysk – the signal 'Attention everyone.' UAV attack repelled."
Residents were advised to remain calm and refrain from filming the incident. Similar alarms were recorded in Gelendzhik and Anapa, where pops associated with target interceptions were also heard.
Due to the threat, Rosaviatsiya has imposed temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at Krasnodar and Gelendzhik airports to ensure flight safety. The duration of these restrictions has not been specified.
Earlier that evening, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev announced the successful repulse of an attack on the city.
