On Friday night, residents of Oryol heard a series of explosions in the sky above the city, which are believed to be related to a Ukrainian drone attack. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred after midnight, with several explosions in the northern part of the city.

Local residents on social media described the events as bright flashes and a roar in the air. Preliminary estimates suggest the Oryol Thermal Power Plant, which has been the target of similar attacks before, may have been the target, but there is no official confirmation yet.

Oryol Region Governor Andrei Klychkov confirmed the attack.
