Moscow News, December 12, 2025, Avia.pro. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported the destruction of five Ukrainian drones heading toward the capital overnight. Residents of the Moscow region reported hearing explosions, but did not provide details.

The first UAV was shot down at 2:53.

"A drone en route to Moscow has been shot down. Emergency services are working at the crash site." Sobyanin wrote.

At 5:43 a.m., air defense forces destroyed three devices at once.

"Three more UAVs shot down" — the mayor clarified.

At 8:28 the fifth drone was destroyed.

"Another drone flying toward Moscow has been destroyed by the Ministry of Defense's air defense forces. Emergency services are working at the site of the crash." - Sobyanin said.

There were no casualties or damage in the city. This is part of a wider wave of attacks on the central regions, where air defense forces destroyed 90 drones overnight on December 12.
