The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported that 52 UAVs were shot down over the Rostov Region between 20:00 PM and 23:00 PM on December 14, but the attacks resumed with renewed vigor overnight. Residents reported powerful explosions in the sky and the sounds of gunfire, which began to be heard at 3:00 AM, indicating active air defense systems. Eyewitnesses recorded UAV wreckage falling in the western part of the city and also noticed a fire, likely caused by the remains of the destroyed drones.

At 3:49 AM, the mayor announced that the drone attack over the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov-on-Don had been successfully repelled. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties, but information about the aftermath is still being clarified. Residents had previously reported fires following the drone strikes, which required the intervention of firefighters.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, eight enemy drones were shot down over the Rostov region overnight.
