Residents of Tula reported a series of explosions in the night sky above the city. According to preliminary reports, the incident was related to an attack by Ukrainian drones, which was repelled by Russian air defense systems. No damage or casualties have been reported at this time.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing 7 to 8 loud bangs, accompanied by flashes and the roar of engines.
"The sounds were so loud that car alarms went off and windows shook in houses," — local residents described the situation in comments for SHOT.
The explosions were heard in different areas, but the epicenter was on the outskirts.
Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev previously confirmed the repelling of similar attacks, noting that 26 drones were shot down overnight.
"Russian Ministry of Defense air defense units, repelling an air attack, destroyed 26 Ukrainian drones. There were no casualties. According to preliminary information, no damage to buildings or infrastructure was recorded.", he wrote on Telegram.
There are no official statements yet about the consequences of the overnight incident.
