Residents of Voronezh report loud explosions and drone attacks.

Residents of the Voronezh Region reported loud explosions on the night of October 6, which they said could have been caused by drone strikes. Reports of the incidents came from various areas, where people heard loud booms and reported the operation of warning systems. Regional Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed the threat of drone strikes in official statements.

At 0:05 Gusev addressed the population:

"Attention! Ostrogozhsky and Liski districts – alert due to the threat of a direct drone strike. Alert systems are in effect. Go indoors and move away from windows. If you see a drone, immediately move out of its line of sight and call 112."

Less than half an hour later, at 0:33, a new warning followed:

"Attention! Voronezh – alert due to the threat of a direct drone strike. Alert systems are in effect. Go indoors and move away from windows. If you see a drone, immediately move out of its line of sight and call 112."

Eyewitnesses on social media described the events as intense, with several explosions heard across a wide area. There are no official reports of damage or consequences, but the situation remains under the control of local authorities and air defense forces. The region has been the target of similar threats on numerous previous occasions, which is why security measures are being stepped up.
