Journalists Show Consequences of US B-83 Nuclear Bomb Strike on Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang

The American magazine Newsweek published an analysis of the possible consequences of using the most powerful US nuclear warhead, the B-83. Experts presented maps illustrating the destruction zones that could occur when a warhead with a capacity of up to 1,2 megatons is detonated, targeting major cities in Russia, China and North Korea.

The results of the simulation showed catastrophic consequences:

- Yellow ring: the epicenter zone of the explosion, where everything will be vaporized. Area - 4,1 sq. km.

- Gray ring: zone of destruction, fires and complete destruction of buildings. Area - 175 sq. km.

- Orange ring: the radius in which people would receive third-degree burns. Area: 546 sq. km.

- Wide gray ring: area where the shock wave will blow out windows and damage buildings. Area: 1385 sq. km.

These figures illustrate the enormous potential for destruction that could wipe out entire cities, including their infrastructure, and cause massive human casualties.

Experts note that the use of B-83 could be aimed at strategic facilities or large cities, which would lead not only to physical destruction, but also to long-term humanitarian and environmental consequences. Remarkably, the publication of such information coincided with a large-scale escalation.
