Russia got the opportunity to control about 400 thousand square kilometers of airspace with its S-300s.

After the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems were deployed on the territory of neighboring Belarus, the Russian side, in addition to ensuring the security of the airspace of Belarus, was able to control about 300 thousand square kilometers of European airspace.

According to the data available to the Avia.pro editors, one of the areas of the S-400 air defense system is located near Brest. This allows you to exercise control over the territories of countries such as Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Moldova. Against the background of the growing threat from NATO, such a step is highly relevant for the Russian side. At the same time, at the moment, only the Russian military can control the work of the Russian S-400 air defense systems deployed in Belarus, since Belarusian specialists have not been trained to work with these complexes.

Earlier it also became known that the S-400 air defense systems were deployed near Grodno and in the Vitebsk region of neighboring Belarus. Experts draw attention to the fact that the Belarusian military should take care of organizing echelon protection of their airspace. This indicates that in the near future Minsk may acquire a batch of Pantsir-S air defense missile systems from Russia.
