Volans - the concept of a multifunctional unmanned cargo aircraft, designed by American designer Harvest Zhang.

An unmanned aircraft was designed as a cargo aircraft, however, in addition to the main task, this drone can also carry out surveillance, patrol and monitoring missions, which in turn makes it multifunctional. Despite the rather high perspective of this UAV, the project presented in the 2016 year, has not been launched into development, at least, there is no official information on this issue yet.

The multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicle of the Volans model was designed in a configuration combining the capabilities of a multi-copter and an airplane, which allows the airplane to take off and land in a vertical plane and move horizontally at high flight speeds. The Volans model itself has rather compact overall dimensions, which simplifies not only the process of using this aircraft, but also its transportation, allowing it to be carried out even with the help of passenger cars. This drone has very high maneuverability, which is best suited for operation in unprepared terrain.

The concept of a Volans unmanned aerial vehicle is represented by five electric motors, which allow an air vehicle to develop a maximum flight speed of 100 km / h, which is quite acceptable.
