99% of Iranian missiles launched at Israel were shot down

As a result of a large-scale attack launched by Iran against Israel, about 99% of the approximately 300 air targets launched were successfully intercepted by Israeli air defense systems, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari said.

Iran took large-scale action, firing 170 unmanned aerial vehicles, 30 cruise missiles and 120 ballistic missiles towards Israel. According to the IDF, none of the drones were able to penetrate Israeli airspace - all were destroyed before they could pose a threat. Also, out of 30 cruise missiles launched, 25 were successfully shot down by the Israeli air force.

However, the situation with ballistic missiles turned out to be more complex: despite the high percentage of interceptions, some missiles still reached their targets. In particular, the Nevatim airbase in southern Israel was hit, although damage to the infrastructure is assessed as minor, and the base continues to operate as normal.

Currently, it is expected that Israel and the United States will launch a joint attack against Iran.
