US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield warned on Monday that any Wagner attack on NATO would be seen as a Russian attack.

Asked about the presence of Wagner mercenaries on the Polish border and whether she sees them as a real threat to NATO, Thomas-Greenfield said:

"We're definitely worried that this group is a threat to all of us."

The ambassador stressed that the message should be clear: "any attack by the Wagner group will be considered an attack by the Russian government," although Thomas-Greenfield could not point to a direct connection with Russia.

However, experts note that in reality, the West itself invented the story of preparations for an attack on Poland, Lithuania or Latvia by the Wagner PMC, which gave rise to rumors that began to spread, including officials of other states. According to various estimates, the implementation of such actions by the Wagner PMC may require from 20 to 40 thousand people, while in Belarus there are only about 5 thousand members of a private military company.
