The settlement is located between Soledar and Bakhmut and is of key importance for the subsequent assault on Bakhmut itself. During the powerful onslaught, the units of the Ukrainian army had to retreat to the territory of Bakhmut with significant losses, where they could be squeezed, since we are already talking about the almost complete encirclement of the city.

According to the announced data, the Russian mercenaries successfully stormed the settlement. Gracious.

From the side of Blagodatny there is a direct exit to Bakhmut, however, more than likely, an assault from this direction should not be expected in the near future, since this could lead to serious losses. According to analysts, the encirclement of the city is expected first of all, since in this case it will be possible to minimize the risk of a breakthrough by Ukrainian troops in this direction and avoid serious losses. Moreover, to approach Bakhmut, an assault on the settlements of Paraskovievka and Krasnaya Gora is also required, and therefore the option of encircling this territory is more acceptable.

The situation in Bakhmut is extremely difficult for Ukrainian army units, however, video footage published from the scene indicates that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are urgently building additional defense lines and mining approaches to the city.
