Egypt plans to abandon the Russian Su-35 fighters.

Against the backdrop of a rather tough dialogue between Washington and Cairo, the latter is seriously concerned that the United States may impose sanctions against Egypt for the purchase of Russian Su-35 fighters, in connection with which, the possibility of abandoning Russian-made combat aircraft is being considered.

Earlier it was reported that the United States promised to immediately impose sanctions against Egypt if the latter concludes a contract with Russia for the purchase of Su-35 combat aircraft. The sanctions can seriously hit Cairo, especially given the intentions of this country to begin rearmament in the near future, which in turn will significantly limit Cairo's ability to purchase weapons.

At the moment, Western media report that Cairo has no choice but to refuse to buy Russian Su-35 fighters, however, it is noteworthy that Egypt itself does not comment on a possible refusal to buy Russian combat aircraft, which is not excluded , is only an attempt to exert political and informational pressure on Cairo, but, nevertheless, at the moment, an agreement between Egypt and Russia on the supply of Su-35 fighters has not been concluded, which in turn causes serious concern among specialists.
