The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) expect a significant strengthening of their arsenal thanks to supplies from France. According to Le Figaro, France plans to supply Ukraine with 85 SCALP-EG long-range cruise missiles. These missiles are analogues of the British Storm Shadow missiles and have already been repeatedly used by the Ukrainian military.

Deliveries of SCALP-EG missiles will be a significant strengthening for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, creating an additional threat. However, for Russia this is a violation of the “red lines”, as has been previously reported several times.

SCALP-EG missiles, identical to the Storm Shadow, have been adapted for use with Ukrainian Su-24 bombers. Despite the repeated destruction of carrier aircraft, they continue to remain in service with the Ukrainian Air Force.

In addition, Ukraine hopes that Germany will decide to supply even more powerful Taurus missiles, which have a range of up to 500 kilometers, however, Germany has stated that this will not happen in the coming months.
