Germany announced the transfer of 18 RCH 155 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, according to an Avia.pro source, citing Army Recognition. This decision became part of German military assistance to Ukraine. The total value of the contract for the supply of these artillery systems was 216 million euros.

The RCH 155 is an advanced self-propelled artillery system that is highly mobile and accurate. Ukraine will become the first foreign country whose armed forces will be equipped with these systems.

The RCH 155 self-propelled howitzer has unique characteristics, including the ability to use a wide range of 155 mm NATO standard artillery ammunition, which provides the system with flexibility in performing various combat missions. It is armed with a 155 mm cannon/L52 and can fire both standard high-explosive fragmentation and precision guided projectiles. The firing range is up to 40 kilometers with conventional projectiles, which can be increased through the use of precision-guided ammunition.

The system's mobility is ensured by its wheeled configuration, based on the Boxer vehicle platform, which allows it to quickly move across the battlefield. At the same time, the timing of the transfer of these artillery systems has not yet been specified.
