In Germany, officially refused to buy American F-35.

The head of the German Ministry of Defense, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, made a statement in which she emphasized that the American fifth generation F-35 fighters are unpromising, and Germany will refuse to purchase them in favor of the fourth generation F-18 and Eurofighter Typhoon fighters.

Today, Germany is experiencing serious problems with the Air Force, which needs to be replaced by a large number of obsolete and physically worn out Panavia Tornado fighters, however, obviously, the German F-35 fighters did not like the German Ministry of Defense because of the relatively high cost, low efficiency, and expensive maintenance and corresponding dependence on Washington.

Moreover, experts pay attention to the fact that today Germany is a member of the program for the creation of a fifth-generation European fighter, in connection with which, the expediency of using American combat aircraft is almost completely absent.

Earlier, Italy expressed its intention to abandon the further acquisition of American F-35.
