The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed the opportunity to purchase X-YUMX passenger aircraft in the amount of 96 units from the Voronezh Aircraft Building Plant. New aircraft will be used for a variety of purposes, including as a tanker, for military and technical equipment, and one of the aircraft will be used by the Minister of Defense as an official.

It is assumed that the purchase of new aircraft was made in order to update the existing fleet of transport aircraft.
