The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports that chemical containers with chlorine contained in them were delivered to the Syrian city of Arikha. This poisonous substance is supposed to be used not only against local residents who are trying to resist the onslaught of the jihadists, but also with the aim of creating a pretext for new attacks from the West, which is especially important against the background of the appearance in the eastern Mediterranean of a large aircraft carrier strike group led by a British aircraft carrier " Queen Elizabeth ".

"According to available information, the militants are planning to stage a" chemical attack "for the subsequent accusation of the Syrian government forces in the use of toxic substances against civilians.", - said representatives of the Russian defense department.

According to some reports, terrorists are waiting for possible attacks on Ariha by the government forces of Syria, while it is possible that chlorine will be used on civilians in order to try to break the resistance of the latter.

Experts do not exclude that if terrorists try to use chlorine, the carrier strike group may launch new strikes on Syrian territory, especially since earlier in London they announced their readiness to use F-35 fighters from a British aircraft carrier.
