Models of NASAMS air defense systems with high-frequency emitter spotted in Ukraine

In Ukraine, the deployment of models of the NASAMS air defense system has begun.

After the US announced that NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems would be transferred to Ukraine within the next 60 days, the deployment of decoys of these systems began in Ukraine. The Ukrainian military approached the tasks in a rather unusual way, since the complex, even at close range, is practically indistinguishable from the real one, and, among other things, is also equipped with a working high-frequency emitter antenna.

In the picture below, you can see a mock-up that is said to be located in southern Ukraine. The fact that we are talking about a layout is indicated by the very unusual racks of the launcher and the absence of a missile release system from guides. Among other things, the complex lacks a number of other elements, however, in the case of using an unmanned aerial vehicle, it will be impossible to distinguish the system from the layout.

It is noteworthy that the NASAMS false deployment area is equipped with a special antenna that emits at high frequencies, which allows you to actually attract anti-radar missiles, which, most likely, the Ukrainian military is counting on.

Previously, a similar tactic was used by the Ukrainian military when using the Himars MLRS.
