Blind weapon "Filin" is installed on Russian ships

This device during its operation neutralizes sights, range finders, night vision devices, anti-tank guided missile guidance systems. The range of action "Filina" reaches five kilometers. It is effective at dusk and at night. If you do not go into details, then from the side the device looks like a searchlight. It is installed on the ship. Its light is so powerful that it can blind a person.

Commenting on the work of the device, the channel, the head of the department of scientific and technical support for enterprise development projects, Vladimir Zharov, reported on the effect Filin has on people. According to him, the volunteers talked about the appearance of spots before his eyes, with the subsequent effect bordering on hallucinations. There were also complaints of dizziness, nausea and loss of ability to navigate in space. But then it all goes away. Negative effects on the eyes do not exist in contrast to the effect that is provided by foreign counterparts of "Filina".

The 5П-42 Filin stations have already begun to arrive in the Russian Navy (Navy). The first samples arrived in February 2019. They were installed on the warships "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Potters" and "Admiral of the Fleet of Kasaton".
