April 3rd. Starting today, all flights over the territory of Crimea are controlled by the Simferopol MCC.

An official statement about this in public was made by the deputy head of the state corporation for organizing air traffic. In his statement, Sergey Pogrebnov said that starting from today, or more precisely from ten o'clock Moscow time, any flights of civil aviation will be monitored by the flight control center in Simferopol. The Ukrainian government has not received any information about this, but since Russia prematurely notified the International Civil Aviation Association (ICAO), the current airspace control has been officially confirmed.
