Aerial reconnaissance near the Russian military bases in Syria began two American military aircraft.

This afternoon, right next to the airspace of Syria, directly at the Russian military base “Khmeimim” and the supply base in Tartus, two American military planes were spotted at once. As it became known, we are talking about the reconnaissance aircraft of the US Navy and the reconnaissance aircraft of the US Air Force, the purpose of which, according to experts, was a thorough study of the Russian air defense and antimissile defense systems, as well as electronic warfare systems.

It should be clarified that since the beginning of this year, this is already at least the tenth flight of American aircraft alongside Russian military facilities in Syria, and as statistics show, the frequency of flights of American military aviation is only increasing.

According to experts, the only possible way out of this situation may be the escort of American military aircraft by Russian fighters, however, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not yet responded to such provocations from the United States, which, obviously, is due to the fact that the routes do not affect the airspace of Syria. and the aircraft themselves fly exclusively with transponders turned on, thereby identifying themselves. Nevertheless, experts do not exclude that in order to ensure its security, Russia may begin to send its fighters to escort military aircraft of the US Air Force and Navy.
