A powerful explosion thundered at a Russian military air base in Syria.

The Kurdish information network Rojava Network reports that a powerful explosion occurred several hours ago at a Russian military air base in northern Syria. The nature of the explosion was not disclosed, however, according to media representatives, media representatives were not allowed into the Russian military air base.

At the moment, there are no details on this subject, but earlier it was reported that there are planes and helicopters of both the Russian aerospace forces and the Syrian air force at the air base in the area of ​​the city of El-Kamyshli.

Security forces belonging to Syria army are blocking media agencies from entering the explosion location which accured today evening in # Qamişlo airport.

By the current hour, information about a possible terrorist attack has not received confirmation, although it’s only a few kilometers to the positions of the latter.

So far, no official comments have been received from representatives of the Russian military group in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Experts do not exclude the possibility that if information about the explosion at the Russian military air base in the El-Kamyshli region is confirmed, then the speech most likely may be connected with a certain incident directly on the territory of the military airfield itself, without any external factors.
