Russia overtook both Italy and Great Britain in the coronavirus, second only to Spain and the USA.

The drastic measures by which Russia tried to stop the spread of the coronavirus have not been crowned with any success, as evidenced by the latest statistics published by the Moscow operational headquarters on the situation with the coronavirus.

According to official statistics on coronavirus, over 220 thousand new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia, which is already significantly higher than in Italy and the UK. At the moment, there is a lag only from Spain and the United States, however, given the forecasts of specialists, within the next 72-96 hours, Russia will come out on the second place in incidence. According to the general mortality rate for coronavirus, Russia takes 18th place, however, according to the data of the past day, according to daily data, Russia is already in the top ten.

It is noteworthy that a day earlier in Russia a new record was set for the number of infected citizens - 11656 cases, while more than 50% of all cases are recorded in the capital.

It should be clarified that in terms of the number of new cases of coronavirus infection among citizens, Russia is quickly catching up with the United States - 20329 new cases of infection were recorded in the United States of America a day earlier, which demonstrates a smooth decline in the incidence rate, while in Russia this indicator only continues to grow.
