The Russian nuclear submarine "Belgorod" for the first time launched a mock-up nuclear torpedo "Poseidon"

In Russia, for the first time, throw tests of the Poseidon nuclear underwater drone model were carried out.

Tests of the Russian nuclear submarine "Belgorod" together with the use of a mock-up nuclear torpedo "Poseidon" were completed successfully. According to a TASS source, during the testing, the systems for launching Poseidon nuclear underwater unmanned vehicles were tested, during which the goal was successfully achieved.

Where exactly the Poseidon underwater drone launch systems were tested as part of the Belgorod special-purpose nuclear submarine is not specified. However, this submarine was last seen in the waters of the Barents Sea, not far from the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, where, as previously stated, the latest Russian cruise missile Burevestnik with a nuclear power plant can also be tested.

Successful tests of launch systems for the Poseidon underwater drone indicate that Russia will be ready to use such weapons. However, according to a number of data, the development of a nuclear underwater drone has not yet been completed, while any specific dates for testing the nuclear drone itself are not disclosed - this may happen in 2030.
