Despite the fact that the tests of the newest Russian aerial bomb "Drill" should have been completed, it turned out that the newest ammunition has not yet been able to pass all the necessary tests. The reason for this was not at all the flaws of the developers, but, oddly enough, the bad weather.

“This is aviation. See what the weather is? And then it’s only worse. ”- said the head of the concern "Techmash" Vladimir Lepin in an interview with Interfax.

What exactly should be understood under the influence of the weather is not known, but experts believe that the tests are delayed due to technical problems.

“It is difficult to imagine what the weather should be like in order not to find 1-2 days in a few months in order to test a promising aerial bomb?”, - the expert marks.

Given the statement by Vladimir Lepin, experts believe that before the start of next year, the Russian Drel bomb will not be able to pass the tests, and therefore, this ammunition is unlikely to be delivered to the airborne forces before the 2021 of the year.
