Despite the fact that the Turkish side until recently denied intentions to intervene in the armed conflict in Donbass, it became known that the Turkish side is ready to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with all the necessary assistance, including military, in order to seize the territories of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, as reported by the newspaper "Sokha", referring to the Ukrainian media.

“Syrskiy thanked Mr. Akar for Turkey's“ consistent political support ”to Ukraine, including Russia's non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea, providing material, technical and financial assistance to the Ukrainian army and preparing a draft of Ukraine's intention to join NATO. We are interested in Turkey's fuller support of our strategic roadmap for joining the North Atlantic Alliance, "the commander of the Ukrainian army emphasized," the news publication reports.

Turkey's intervention in the conflict may lead to the complete liquidation of the republics, however, in this case, Russia may well take the side of the DPR and LPR.
