Turkey resumes cargo transit to Russia after Moscow extends grain deal

After the extension of the grain deal by the Russian side, Turkey resumed the transit of parallel import goods to Russia.

At the moment, it is known that the Russian side has decided to extend for a specified period the so-called grain deal, which allows Ukraine to transport grain through the waters of the Black Sea. Nevertheless, several sources immediately reported that Turkey had resumed the supply of goods to Russia as part of parallel imports, including sanctioned ones, this afternoon. This does not exclude the possibility that it was Ankara that promoted the idea of extending the grain deal.

At the moment, it is known that the grain deal has been extended for 60 days. At the same time, Russia once again reminded that they would adhere to the grain deal only if the Russian side was also on an equal footing.

Turkey's resumption of deliveries of goods to Russia through parallel imports, as well as the ban introduced a few days ago, raise a lot of questions, since no explanations have been received from Ankara in this regard. However, according to analysts, this is hardly a coincidence.
