Ukraine threatens to attack Russian civilian aircraft near its borders

The Ukrainian military threatens to destroy Russian civilian aircraft.

After the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed the Buk-M1, S-125 and S-300 complexes in the Donbas, it became known that Ukraine was threatening to start using these weapons against Russian civilian aircraft. The data on this subject were announced by FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov, noting that the risk of an attack on Russian civilian aircraft is very high, especially since the air corridors lie in close proximity to the Ukrainian border.

“Any weapon that works on the first targets is dangerous. And the question is not only what technical data this weapon has, but also who is sitting at the control panel. And there are a lot of inadequate paramilitary bandits, ready for any provocative actions. And that worries me."- said Mikhailov.

Given the range of Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile systems located in the Donbass, in some areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian civilian aircraft flying near the Ukrainian borders can really attack. At the same time, it is likely that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not take such actions, however, in the Donbass there are hundreds of mercenaries, militants and radicals who can destroy passenger aircraft.

are you serious?

Ukrainian S-300s are located in close proximity to the Russian border and cover a fairly large area. A minimum of 75 kilometers, but possibly up to 120. Depending on what missiles are there, maybe up to 200 (although 200 is unlikely there). In general, this radius will make it possible to hit civilian aircraft over the territory of the Russian Federation. For example, over the Crimea or Belgorod.

So don't fly

Are you normal? We are talking about the territory of Russia, the same Rostov-on-Don is located 50 km from the border.

Bandera can. They already did that.
