There was a very strong explosion in Bakhmut.

This afternoon on the territory of Bakhmut, for which fighting has been going on for several months, a powerful explosion thundered. According to local residents and residents of neighboring settlements, the sounds of detonation can be heard. This, by the way, is also confirmed by video frames taken with a mobile phone camera.

On the video frames you can see the moment of the thundered explosion on the territory of Bakhmut. The circumstances of the explosion have not yet been disclosed, however, it can be seen that the cloud of smoke from the explosion is very large. According to preliminary data, an explosion occurred at one of the weapons depots, however, there is no confirmation of this from the Ukrainian military.

It is reported that the initial explosion was very strong. This may indicate a hit by a high-powered missile, however, representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry have not yet reported about strikes with tactical missile weapons at Bakhmut this afternoon.

Experts note that the situation in Bakhmut remains very difficult. Despite rather large losses, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not leave their positions, continuing to control about 90% of the city's territory.
