The second Russian serviceman died in Syria in a month

Another Russian soldier died in Syria.

In the northeastern part of Syria, another Russian serviceman was killed - this is the second incident with the death of a Russian soldier in the territory of the Arab republic in less than a month. As it became known to the editorial staff of Avia.pro, we are talking about Sergeant Mikhail Melshin.

It is reported that the sergeant of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Mikhail Melshin was seriously injured as a result of the detonation of an IED. Subsequently, the serviceman was taken to a Russian hospital, however, despite the fact that the doctors had been fighting for the life of the serviceman for several weeks, the latter was not saved.

It is known that Mikhail Melshin was next to the Russian general Vyacheslav Gladkikh, who, under unknown circumstances, could not notice an improvised explosive device installed on one of the routes of the military convoy. The Russian officer died on the spot, while sources report that in reality, three Russian servicemen were injured, however, there is no official confirmation of this.

It should be clarified that the incident that occurred earlier was captured by the Syrian military on a mobile phone camera, however, it remains unknown why the military convoy made a stop.
